Kizomba Maine is excited to announce an amazing weekend of events this August as we welcome back a fantastic instructor and our good friend Richard Voogt, joining us all the way from London, England!

ABOUT: This weekend is all about celebrating dance, celebrating Kizomba and all the great people we have in our dance community in Maine! We have the pleasure of welcoming back Richard Voogt who joined us last year for what was one of the highlights of the year! Since we last saw him, Richard has moved from Vermont (where he created Dsantos VT) to London, UK, where he has set up his new dance school Dsantos Dance UK. He has since been invited to teach at numerous dance festivals around the world but is delighted to be rejoining us in Maine for this special weekend!

'Gindungo' means hot pepper, like a chilli! Lets turn up the heat and get things started off right with the first party of the weekend! Invite your friends to come see what Kizomba is all about and lets get everyone pumped up for the weekend

✿ SATURDAY: 'AZEMBORA' - KIZOMBA BOOTCAMP DAY
'Azembora' means lets go! Come ready to expand your understanding of this amazing dance! This first day of progressive workshops is all about feeling more confident in your dancing and having a damn good time doing it! Whether you have danced for a few months or several years there will be challenges for everyone!

★ 1-2 PM - Kizomba 2
★ 2-3 PM - Kizomba 3

✿ SAT NIGHT: AZEMBORA AFRO-LATIN PARTY
DRESS CODE: BLACK & WHITE
Its time to connect the continents with our Afro-Latin party! Kizomba, Salsa, Bachata, Semba, Afrohouse, Cha Cha and more!

✿ SUNDAY: 'DRENA!' - BOOTCAMP DAY #2
'Drena' means Adrenaline and this day will be all about energy! If you thought Saturday was fun then you better be ready! We get things warmed up with a special Kizomba musicality workshop; things get seriously fun when we start to explore Semba and Kizomba tricks and the craziness ensues to top it all off with Afrohouse & Kuduro! Say no more! haha
